Samsung is the number one seller for LCDs in North America.

Samsung is the top seller for LCDs, with Sony and Vizio right behind. A recent study by DisplaySearch says that the manufacturer has regained the top spot when it comes to LCDs in North America. However, it was a close race, with Samsung, Sony and Vizio as the top three, nevertheless separated by less than half a point of unit share. Sony previously held the top spot at the end of 2007. Bargain brand Vizio was right on their heels, with a jump from Q4 2007's 10.3 percent to 12.2 percent in early 2008. Overall, LCDs are on the rise, climbing 59 percent on account of early 2007.
